Hi everyone,
I found another video that really blew me away! It’s a little lengthy so you might want to watch it from home but it is a MUST SEE – perfect timing for a week celebrating the recognition of educators! Enjoy!

Hi everyone,
Need a lift? Take a look at this video of Students Helping Students from the University of Kansas. These kids show that how a simple act of kindness can make a big impact. They will perform random acts of kindness just to make people feel important but also collect donations to help those truly in need.

There’s another group of kids from Long Island I heard about recently who greatly impressed me. They are 3 seventeen year old girls who battled anorexia and are using their experiences to help others. Can you imagine three 17 year old kids from Long Island have raised over $100,000 for others!! Incredible!

Have a great day!

Hi everyone!

Hope you all made it through the storm okay. I was actually at a conference in Rochester as four of my front pine trees chose to lay down like dominoes – such fun!

Anyway, I have a couple of more websites I thought you’d enjoy! The first one is called WebOWord and it displays a word along with a picture. There are also interactive crosswords at this site. It’s free – would I send you anything that wasn’t???

Since the theme is vocabulary, the next site I’m going to share is “Math Vocabulary” page created by an Australian!

Hi everyone!
Happy New Year!!!!
I came on to post and realized I haven’t been here since before vacation – hope you had a great one.

One of the teacher centers has asked us to share information with you about a SMART Board User Groups blog. I thought you’d be interested – Enjoy!

Please share this message with your teachers. Thank you.
The Teacher Center of Broome County is forming a virtual Smart BUG (Smart Board Users Group).
Anyone interested in using SMART Boards in education are invited to join the BUG and accept the challenge to help post 365 suggestions related to
educational use of the SMART BOARD during 2010.

Joining is easy and painless. Go to the “Getting SMARTER with SMARTBOARDS” blog at this web address –

http://gettingsmarterwithsmartboards.blogspot.com/

Click on the word “comment’ under any 2010 blog posting.

Make your suggestion and include a brief introduction if it is your first time posting.

We only need 300 more suggestions to meet our goal!
